Alice is a girl that has a good but bad life because her mom died having cancer and her dad moved on and married another woman. Alice’s step-mom is going to be having a baby so she wants them to go to see her parents. When they get there Alice’s father has to  leave and go to New York City. Five days later, they leave and Alice’s step-mom gets them stuck on the highway during a snowstorm.
